The Holiday cottage

The cottage is located in a very calm area, surrounded by agricultural fields and dunes, and only 400 m from the beach. It was completely restored in 2014 by some local craftsman, using traditional and ecological materials. 



Downstairs you will find a large living dining area with wood burning stove and a modern kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and a cooker with a gas hob. On the ground floor you will also find a toilet. 



Upstairs, you will find a twin room and a double bedroom as well as a bathroom. 



The garden is large (3000 m²) and the beach is a short walk away. The beach is dog friendly, well-behaved dogs can run freely on the sand and dunes.

Location and surroundings

The beautiful beaches have very few people on them, even in summer, but there is plenty to visit if you don't want to just sunbathe. 



The local towns of Portbail, La Haye du Puits and Barneville-Carteret have a good selection of shops and restaurants and a weekly market (Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday). 



Further afield, the Mont St. Michel, Bayeux and Cherbourg are all interesting, and day trips to Jersey, Guernsey or the Iles de Chaussey are easy to arrange.
