La Maison Orange is a stone built cottage located in a small, peaceful hamlet and has one bedroom and an en-suite bathroom making it the perfect base for two people

The house is just five minutes from the local restaurant and only ten minutes from the mediaeval town of Malestroit

Nearby La Gacilly is one of the prettiest villages in Brittany and is home to dozens of artisans. Visit their workshops and watch silver being transformed into jewellery, iron being forged into sculptures and felt slippers taking shape in front of your eyes.

Down by the river enjoy the free open air photographic exhibition, there are hundreds of huge photos displayed along the winding tracks that disappear into the forest. When you've soaked up all that culture why not take a break and hire a small boat to enjoy the peace and quiet as you meander gently down the picturesque river ?

A short thirty minute drive takes you to the coast where there are dozens of white sandy beaches all waiting to be discovered.

Take the short boat trip to the Ile aux Moins and explore the twisty paths and ancient buildings. Order oysters or mussels on the quay and soak up the atmosphere of a real fishing port.

On Thursday mornings a huge bustling market fills the church square at Malestroit offering an unlimited choice of local seafood, fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese and regional specialities. The displays are magnificent and the competing aromas of ripe melons, oozing camembert’s, cooking paella, spit roasting chickens and hot crepes mean it's virtually impossible to leave empty handed!

Brittany seems to be made for walkers..... Forest tracks, tow paths, disused railways and signposted walks it is all right here. Our neighbouring village is home dozens of mysterious bronze age standing stones and the forest that surrounds is a warren of twisty paths. We can supply special walkers pack- all free of charge!
