The Holiday house

La Pigouliere is a tastefully furnished and well-equipped house close to the beach of Denneville plage (200m, 2 minutes by foot). The cottage has it's own private garden with lawn equipped with barbecue and garden furniture including sun loungers. 



On the ground floor is a living/kitchen area with a dining table. The kitchen has a hob, dishwasher, coffee machine, cooker and fridge freezer. There is a television and the house is equipped with wi-fi. Upstairs is a landing area with 2 single beds, and a double bedroom. There is a shower room with toilet and hand basin. The house has its own private off-road parking space.

Special features

The beaches of Denneville are a short walk from the house. We have 2 bicycles (adult) that you are welcome to use.

Location and surroundings

Denneville Plage has kilometres of sandy beach which is ideal for children. Even in summer the beach remains uncrowded, and the sunsets over the island of Jersey can be truly amazing. The sea temperature in summer ranges between 19-24 degrees, depending on the gulf stream, and it slopes gently and is safe for swimming. 



During the summer season there are local shops and a bar within walking distance, and out of season there are shops in Denneville Bourg, as well as supermarkets and restaurants in the towns of Portbail, La Haye du Puits and Barneville-Carteret. There is a street market every day within easy driving distance, and many sites to visit if you get tired of the beach!

Arrival

From Caen take the N13 to Cherbourg, turn off for Barneville Carteret just after Carentan (D971) then right towards La Haye Du Puits (D903). Stay on the D903 until you see a left for Denneville (D137) then go through Denneville-bourg and cross the mai road towards Denneville-Plage. Turn left when just before you get to the beach into rue de Jersey, our house is 400m on the left hand side. We live in front of the gite and should be there to welcome you.
