The Holiday cottage

Les Chouettes (Barn Owls) is a comfortably appointed cottage in the longere style offering over 120m² of accommodation. The house can easily accommodate 7 people in 3 bedrooms and has a cot for babies/toddlers. 



On the ground floor is a large (60m²) living/dining room with open fireplace. The modern fitted kitchen is newly installed for the 2013 season. Double doors lead to a terrace area with garden furniture. We also have a double glazed conservatory area.



The cottage has an automatic washing machine.



The large garden (500 sqm) has a lawn-area and is completely private and not overlooked.



Living costs (water and electricity) are included in the price.

Location and surroundings

The peninsula of La Manche is surrounded by over 200km of fantastic and varied coastline. Starting on the west coast, the bay of Mont St. Michel sweeps round to the glamorous spa resort of Granville with its Christian Dior Museum and gardens. 



Some of the finest oysters are farmed in and around Agon-Coutainville. Miles of accessible and clean sandy beaches stretch up to the chic boutique ports of Barneville-Carteret. Following the route des Caps, or the sentier des douaniers (coastal footpath) is a great way to explore the cliffs and coves of the pink granite coast up to the rugged landscape of La Hague.The ports of St.Vaast and Barfleur are famed for their mussels.

Arrival

From St. Sauveur Le Viscomte, take the D900 Bricqbec road. After 1km turn right into the D147 Route d'Aurevilly (signposted Nehou), and follow the road for approxamately 2 kilometres past the Chateau on your left until you come to our turn Route du Bas Hamel. Our iron gates are 50m on the left.
