Newly refurbished for 2010, La Senelle is a 2 bedroom gite sleeping up to 4 people. Children are welcome, but because of the river we recommend that they be of school age. 



The gite is built in traditional local normandy stone in the longere style. The thick walls ensure the house is cool in summer and warm in winter. 



Double glazed French doors lead from the outside terrace area into the main living space, with dining area, a modern fitted kitchen with breakfast bar and a living room area.



The gite is now equipped with a washing machine.

Location and surroundings

Situated in the heart of beautiful, peaceful countryside in about 45 mins from Cherbourg on the west coast of the Cotentin peninsula Normandy Gite La senelle is a self-catering holiday cottage (or in Normandy, Gite). 



This riverside gite in manche is just 25 minutes from huge sandy beaches, and ideally placed for visiting Mont St Michel, Bayeux, and the Landing Beaches. 



The historic market town of La Haye du Puits is just 8 km away and has all the shops you need, including two supermarkets. If you are a fan of French street markets there is one available every day within easy driving distance.



There are many parties, fairs and festivals during the year, or you might just want to enjoy the quietness & beauty of the surrounding countryside.

Our cottage is by the river Senelle, a small path leads to the water and we also have our own private island to fish from!



Other sporting and leisure activities available nearby include; tennis; golf; horse riding; canoeing; windsurfing; sailing; karting and ice-skating, all of which we can help you organise. Nearby is a network of cycle routes.
